ATLRPG GM/DM Workshops!

TLDR: Post and vote on discussion topics and skills workshops in advance on our web app (**ATLRPG.org/calendar**)

Hail and well met, storytellers! Come join us for our monthly meetup to talk shop about all things TTRPGs! While we often discuss how to better GM or facilitate games, we also discuss how to generally play better games, too, what 'better' looks like to different people, and other things! We also invite speakers from across the industry and in adjacent industries; check our Discord's Admin announcements section (ATLRPG.org/about/links) for updates on speakers.

ATLRPG does not charge anything for attending, but we are expected to eat and/or drink by the fine establishment that is kind enough to host us for free!

Dungeon Masters (DMs), Game Masters (GMs), players, etc. of all experience levels are welcome!

How Does It Work?

Mosey on in at 10:30am. We meet in the Eagle's Nest, the curtained backroom of Manuel's Tavern. Check in with our organizer about your background and interests, grab a coffee, order some brunch, and chit-chat.

By 11:00am, we will do introductions and set a workshop agenda. Attendees have the opportunity to pitch discussion topics and skill workshops ahead of time on our web app (ATLRPG.org), but we'll finalize in person; some examples are DMing 101, veteran panel for newbies, veteran topical discussions, skill building workshops like NPC roleplay, 'failing forward,' combat pacing, etc. Attendees will vote, and then we will sort out the order of events, whether to run any workshops in parallel, etc.

In addition to bio breaks, we will also break to raffle off loot to folks who've run games at our weekly meetups (you earn 1 GM Token per game); come run some games with us to earn that sweet loot!
