Meditation - 61 Point Meditation


Details
This deep relaxation exercise consists of following with your attention, a trail of 61 distinct points throughout the body. Focus your attention on each point, notice any tension / stress you might feel and let it go OR just notice it. There will be a pause after each point. Then, on to the next point.
You will hear a number from 1 to 61 and a name for each point to concentrate on.
You can do this sitting up or lying down. Lying down is more comfortable & a deeper relaxation. Try to avoid falling asleep, but don't worry if you do. Sitting up is more of a calming concentration exercise.
At the end, you could comment or just leave the meetup.

Suggestions:
Comfortable clothing.
A quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Lie in bed or use yoga props to be comfortable.

I understand that Meditation & Yoga Walks & Yoga may include physical movements, relaxation, and stress relief of muscular tension. Yoga includes, but is not limited to participation in Meditation techniques, yogic breathing techniques, and various yoga poses (asanas). Yoga poses exercise many parts of the body (stretch and tone muscles and joints, the spine and the skeletal system). They may also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves. Sustained stretching may strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.
Various props may be recommended for a session. I understand that it is my responsibility to opt out of using these tools if I experience a reaction that is unsafe or know that I will experience a reaction that is unsafe. Meditation and Yoga are experienced differently by each individual.
As with any physical activity, I understand that the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present. By signing up for Meditation or Yoga Walks or Yoga, I acknowledge that I understand that I will progress at my own pace. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, come out of the pose or adjust it, and I may notify the teacher(s), at my discretion. I will respect my body’s limitations by continuing to breathe smoothly and rest before continuing, if I decide to continue.
I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter against the teacher(s) and all involved with the sessions and website.
By signing up for the sessions, I acknowledge that participation exposes me to possible risk of personal injury. I am fully aware of this risk and hereby release the teacher(s) and those associated with the sessions and website, from any and all liability, negligence or other claims arising from or in any way connected with my participation in Meditation or Yoga Walks or Yoga.
I further acknowledge that I shall not now or at any time in the future bring any legal action against the teacher(s) or those involved with the sessions and website, and that this waiver is binding on me, my heirs, my spouse, my children, my legal representatives, my successors and my assigns. My acceptance verifies that I am physically fit to participate and a medical doctor has verified my physical condition for participation.
If I am pregnant or become pregnant or am post-natal, my signature verifies that I am participating in Meditation & Yoga Walks & Yoga with my doctor’s full approval. I realize that I am participating at my own risk.
