How Agentic AI Is Changing the Way Teams Work
AI is rapidly evolving from tools that simply answer questions and generate content into autonomous teammates capable of understanding context, making decisions, coordinating activities, and taking action across enterprise workflows.
This session explores the transition from AI assistants and copilots to agentic AI and AI teammates, and what this shift means for developers, project managers, business teams, and technology leaders. Through practical scenarios, we will examine how humans and AI agents can collaborate across the lifecycle of work—from understanding requirements and planning projects to managing knowledge, executing tasks, and supporting software delivery.
The session will also explore why enterprise context is critical for making these agents useful. Using concepts such as organizational knowledge, connected work and Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph, we will examine how agents can understand relationships between people, projects, documentation and work rather than operating from isolated prompts. This closely reflects Atlassian’s current AI-native direction, where Rovo combines organizational context with agents capable of taking action across Jira, Confluence and connected applications.
Participants will leave with a practical understanding of how human + AI teams are emerging, where agents can provide meaningful value today, and how organizations can begin moving toward an AI-native way of working while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
