About us

Bridging the gap between Anxious & Avoidant hearts

About our Group
Are you tired of the "push-pull" dynamic in your relationships? Do you find yourself naturally attracted to partners who have the exact opposite attachment style as you?
The Attachment Healing Cafe is a community space designed for those of us navigating the complexities of insecure attachment. We aren’t here as experts or therapists—we are a peer-led group of "growth-minded" individuals navigating our own healing journeys together.
Our mission is simple: To hear the other side of the story.

Why Join Us?
In this group, we move past the labels and get to the human experience. We provide a structured, compassionate environment to:

  • Exchange Knowledge: Share the books, podcasts, and tools that have helped you understand your triggers.
  • Bridge the Gap: Create a rare space where those with Anxious and Avoidant styles can talk openly about what they feel during conflict, helping us build empathy for "the other side."
  • Heal through Connection: Meet like-minded people who are committed to moving toward Secure Attachment.

What to Expect
Our meetups are designed to be "Healing Workshops." A typical session includes:

  1. The Check-in: A brief, safe space to share where you are on your journey.
  2. The Deep Dive: A guided discussion or exercise (e.g., "What does 'space' mean to an avoidant vs an anxious person?").
  3. Resource Swap: Sharing actionable tips for self-regulation and co-regulation.

Venue: TBC - We will likely meet at a physical cafe, a quiet park, or via Zoom.

Disclaimer: I am not a licensed therapist or mental health professional. This group is for peer support, shared lived experiences, and personal growth. We encourage all members to seek professional therapy alongside our community discussions, if needed.
