Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration held on May 5 to celebrate Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza. With that said, I have no idea if Mexico even celebrates this outside of Puebla but we sure as hell do in the U.S.!! Some may say we celebrate it a little TOO hard...
No need to blow a bunch of money in a crowded bar with bad parking this year. Bring your own drinks, chairs and/or picnic blankets. We'll setup by the giant tree near the west side entrance of the park (see uploaded map photo) and grab some food from the trucks for the chillest Cinco de Mayo celebration you can have on a Monday ๐.
