ATX Language Tables on Fridays at Cabana Club (May 23rd)

Details
Hey ATX friends, we're back to in-person language meetups in Austin on Fridays at Cabana Club in East Austin!
Checkout the vibe from past language table meetups.
After a couple of years of traveling and picking up a few languages (basic level), I'd love to keep practicing and thought this would be a fun way to do it.
The goal is to have a table lead for each of these languages represented:
- Arabic
- Chinese (Mandarin)
- French
- German
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
If you're fluent or near fluent in any of these languages, please reach out about becoming a table lead. I would like to make a roster so it isn't a weekly commitment.
Fill out this Google Form if you can host a language or are interested in being on our mailing list
My company [@troov.app](https://www.instagram.com/troov.app/) is sponsoring the meetup for now and lead the French table.
This is our first time hosting it at Cabana Club but they have outdoor seating that I think could be great for it.
FAQ:
Is it just one language per week or all languages every week?
My goal is to have all the languages represented every week but might come down to which table leads can make it in a given week.
How do I find it?
Look for a bunch of international flags setup with tiny stands on the tables on the outside patio.
What is the format?
6:30pm - 7:00pm: informal banter as folks enjoy some bites and drinks
7:00pm - 8:00pm: sit down at language table of interest with hosts supporting their respective tables
After 8:00pm: Feel free to hangout and continue the good vibes
How is this different from other language meetups?
The only consistent multi-language meetup I've found is sponsored by BlaBla Language Exchange on Tuesdays, but they don't use dedicated tables for each language, and they’re further up north. This could be a better option for those closer to downtown like me. Feel free to attend both!
How well do I need to speak a language to attend?
No language requirement! I'll try to "staff" each table with a fluent lead to help guide beginners.
Anything else?
I intend to take a few photos to post to social media for promoting future events, but feel free to kindly decline if you do not wish to be included in those.
Also, please comment if you feel comfortable hosting one of these tables.
I'll keep this updated...
