For our July event, we're holding another community "show & tell"! Rather than feature a single speaker, a couple of developers will give quick presentations of their work. The presenters at this event will include the following:
Gary Wagner - Warp10 Games
Gary is the founder and CEO of Warp10 Games, a studio focused on mid-core free-to-play mobile games. He has 20 years of experience in the game industry, including a stint at Gas Powered Games as Executive Producer of the Supreme Commander series. He also served as Senior Producer at Trion Worlds on the F2P MMO End of Nations. Most recently, he worked at Kabam overseeing production of the online social game Imperium: Galactic War.
For Thursday's presentation, Gary will discuss his work-in-progress mobile tower defense game called Tanks vs. Bombs. The title is currently in alpha and is fully playable on iOS and Android. It's being developed in Austin by a team of experienced engineers, game designers, and artists. Gary will discuss challenges the team has faced during the development process and get feedback on it's current state.
Spence Wetjen & Christian Primozich - Togga
Togga is an Austin company that's building an online fantasy soccer game. The presenting team members will include Spence Wetjen (Chief Product Officer) and Christian Primozich (CTO). Spence is a user experience designer and information architect with experience as Product Manager at Best Buy online and former co-founder of an enterprise SaaS startup. Christian is formerly the Studio Director at Challenge Games (acquired by Zynga) and founder of Mososh, a studio focused on mobile/social games.
The team's goal is to create a global fantasy sports platform that lets soccer fans connect, engage and enjoy fantasy games with their friends and the worldwide soccer community. Initially working with the English Premier League, Togga is currently in open alpha at www.playtogga.com (http://www.playtogga.com/) and is being updated daily. Spence and Christian will share the current state of the game, discuss challenges, and invite feedback.
