Southern Walnut Creek: Queer Nature Walk & Coffee Social
Details
Come celebrate our TWO-YEAR anniversary! Join us for a 3-mile queer nature walk at Southern Walnut Creek, followed by a coffee social. There will be some fun, outdoorsy giveaways to help mark the momentous occasion.
All open-hearted, open-minded humans are welcome! Since this is a sapphic group, we especially welcome queer women+, nonbinary folks, and trans friends. Leashed pets are welcome on this hike!
IMPORTANT INFO
- There are no restrooms at the trailhead.
- On-leash pets are permitted and very welcome.
- We follow the Leave No Trace principles.
There is some parking at Govalle Neighborhood Park. If that lot is full, you can also try Govalle Baseball Field. There’s a metal bridge near the trailhead. We’ll meet there for stretching and introductions. This path is fully paved and we will go at a nice, leisurely pace.
Afterward we'll have a coffee social at Stargazer.
For anyone who needs a ride, we coordinate carpooling via our Discord group. Please message Courtney or Braxton (organizers) or DM @ATXsapphichikingcrew on Instagram if you’d like to join. We recommend joining in case you're running late or need help finding us so you can reach out to us on the day of.
We do try to wait for any latecomers but in order to respect everyone's time, we will hit the trail no later than 30 minutes after the posted start time.
See you soon, friends!
