Slaughter Creek Preserve: Queer Hike & Coffee Social

Join us for a 3-mile queer hike at Slaughter Creek Preserve, followed by a coffee social!
All open-hearted, open-minded humans are welcome! Since this is a sapphic group, we especially welcome queer women+, nonbinary folks, and trans friends. Leashed pets are welcome on this hike!
IMPORTANT INFO
- There are porta potties at the trailhead.
- NO PETS allowed on this trail.
- This is a multi-use trail with bikes and horses (sometimes).
- We follow the Leave No Trace principles.
The entrance to the trail is a little nondescript. There are two brick posts on the road that you turn down off of 1826. It’s a one-way road so be mindful of people leaving the park. We’ll meet on the far side of the parking lot behind the homestead and the small building. There is parking but when the lot gets full, the park is at capacity so try to arrive early to ensure you get a spot.
Afterward we'll have a coffee social at Drifters Social.
For anyone who needs a ride, we coordinate carpooling via our Discord group. Please message Courtney or Braxton (organizers) or DM @ATXsapphichikingcrew on Instagram if you’d like to join. We recommend joining in case you're running late or need help finding us so you can reach out to us on the day of.
We do try to wait for any latecomers but in order to respect everyone's time, we will hit the trail no later than 30 minutes after the posted start time.
