The New Web: AI, Agents, and the Shifting Stack
Details
This session covers the rapidly shifting intersection of AI and the web - how sites get built, how they get found, and how the tooling around design and development is changing month to month.
The focus will lean towards web developers, designers, and digital marketers, but the shifts we'll explore - from discovery to delivery - affect anyone with a stake in their organization's web presence.
We'll explore-
- The Google I/O 2026 announcements - what's new, what matters, and what to ignore
- AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) - how content gets surfaced by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and the next wave of answer engines
- Agentic considerations - designing sites for AI agents that browse, click, and transact on behalf of users
- How AEO and agentic discovery reshape (or don't reshape) the traditional SEO playbook
- AI-assisted web development - from copilots to full agentic coding workflows
- New design tools - what's emerged, what's worth adopting, and what's still hype
- Design considerations in an AI-first web - when interfaces are generated, summarized, or skipped entirely
- Practical experiments, prototypes, and what's actually shipping
After these sessions we typically grab dinner nearby if you want to keep the conversation going and connect with other professionals.
