Speaker 1: John Trengrove

John is a consultant at Servian and lead Data Engineer for a high profile Big Data Machine Learning project at an Australian telco client.

He is a Databricks certified Spark engineer and has been working with Hadoop and Spark over the past year and specifically around feature engineering. His background is mathematics and analytics.

John will talk to the learning he had from implementing a large scale production machine learning system in an X vs Y style. He will also give a brief introduction of Spark using 2.0 released last Wednesday and Databricks community edition.

Jason is an Analyst at Servian based in Auckland. He is passionate about delivering insights out of data and comes from a foundational skill set in ETL and 'conventional' tooling.
