It's been a long time since we broke ground on this stuff and all the frameworks are in place to make things easy. What's grown up around the edges? What's really worked well? What's next in the evolution?

Build Reliable Backend Applications, Faster: Durable Execution with Temporal
Building modern distributed applications requires developers and engineers to consider everything that can go wrong, internal and external to our application, during application execution. We spend countless hours on homegrown solutions to increase our application's reliability, which, while essential, comes at the expense of delivering business functionality and value. In this presentation, we will explore Temporal, a Durable Execution platform, and programming model, to improve runtime reliability and development-time velocity for backend microservices.

Justin Wood - Founder of this meetup and long time proponent of distributed architectures and Cloud based systems.

Brendan Myers is a Staff Solutions Architect at Temporal where he helps customers build reliable systems with durable execution. Brendan has over 15 years of experience as a developer, startup CTO, and solutions architect. At 8 years old Brendan was banned from school computers for the non-responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities he found.
