Continuing with another 💎 in our Auckland Hidden Gem series.
Finish February 2026 and Join us for a spiritual pilgrimage as we explore the hidden gems of Auckland through nature walks led by God's Creation - Christian Outdoors Club.
Starting from Kauri Glen reserve and following the scenic route to areas of North shore, we will immerse ourselves in the beauty of the outdoors while nurturing our spirituality.
Please note: this is an ambitious walk: Loop from Kauri Glen Reserve, go to Onepoto Domain, surround Tuff Crater Reserve and return via College Road to Kauri Glen Reserve.
Agenda ℹ️
- Welcome & Connection: Meet the organising team at the starting point for a brief introduction.
- The Hike: urban walk starting from point defined in Komoot
- Difficulty: 10.5 km Moderate
- Duration: Approx. 3 – 3.5 hours including breaks
- Terrain: Reserve tracks, some stairs, urban walk, native forest
- Social Time: Enjoy the views and reflect. We will pause for rest and reflection.
- Finish: Wrap up and final fellowship.
What to Bring ️
- Footwear: Hiking boots or sturdy shoes are required.
- Water at least 1 Litre
- light snack.
- Sun protection: (Hat, sunscreen) given the NZ summer sun.
- Snacks: Since the event is 3 hours over lunchtime (ending 12:30 PM), people may get hungry.
- Rain jacket: Essential for Auckland weather, even if the forecast looks good
- Optional: Trekking poles if you want extra stability on the stairs.
