Join us for an easy, one-hour return walk at Te Arai Regional Park!
Stunning views of the gulf and a tiny cove for safe swimming.
This is a loop walk.
Agenda ℹ️
- Welcome & Connection: Meet the organising team at the starting point for a brief introduction.
- The Hike: From the main carpark on the north side of the point it is a short 30-minute one-way walk to the southern beach and from the headland there are stunning views over the beaches and the gulf.
- Difficulty: 3.1km Easy
- Duration: Approx .2 hours including breaks
- Terrain: coast and forest, and well-maintained paths.
What to Bring ️
- Footwear: Hiking boots or sturdy shoes are required.
- Water at least 1 Litre
- Sun protection: (Hat, sunscreen) given the NZ summer sun.
- Snacks
- Rain jacket: Essential for Auckland weather, even if the forecast looks good
- Optional: Trekking poles if you want extra stability
Whether you are a seasoned hiker or a beginner, this event is open to all who seek to deepen their connection with God's creation and fellow believers.
As with the tradition we will pause and read from the bible perhaps another psalm or a piece of sacred text to help us personally reflect.
Everyone is welcome but no debates nor discussions are allowed. This group intends to walk and enjoy creation.
