What we’re about
This is a social group which often meets on a Thursday or Friday, usually at 10am, at different cafes for coffee (or tea). Some people stay for one coffee or tea; some people stay for lunch/brunch. This is NOT a dating group.
We are passionate about Auckland's vibrant café culture and are always on the hunt for cafes offering great quality coffee/tea, and delicious quality baking goods and brunch food.
The cafes we go to are generally in the region of Central Auckland, but not so often in the heart of the city (because parking is inconvenient). The common range is around Mt Albert, Pt Chev, Grey Lynn, Mt Eden, Ponsonby, Remuera, Herne Bay, Balmoral, Epsom, Newmarket, One Tree Hill, and all the suburbs in those areas. Sometimes we get out as far as North Shore, Onehunga, Eastern Bays or New Lynn, but not so often.
There are no membership fees.
New members are very welcome, but we do expect you to have a photo of your face on your profile so we can recognize you when you come to meetups. Non-members cannot see who is a group member, or their photo.
If you're interested in organising a coffee meetup on a different day or time, or at a particular place you like, talk to one of the organisers and we'll figure out a plan.
