This is a great alternative to the Puhoi loop ride. Same distance, but starting from Waiwera township.
Meeting is opposite the Sugarloaf Beach Bar and we'll follow the stream via Weranui Rd and before Wainui we'll go into Haruru Rd. After 6 or 7ks we'll link up with the Puhoi loop for around 8k to the Upper Waiwera Rd intersection where we'll head back.

We have 'no drop' policy, so nobody will be left behind and we regroup several times.
After the ride there will be the option to visit the Sugarloaf Beach Bar for a drink and nibbles.

LEVEL OF FITNESS
A very good level of fitness is essential unless electric bikes are used because there is up to 700m of elevation to climb.

WHAT KIND OF BIKES
Gravel and Mountain bikes or E-bikes with gravel tires.

WHAT TO BRING
Lots of water, snacks, pump extra tube and tools.
