Welcome, Auckland data lovers far and wide. We are an online and in-person data-enthusiast group hosting live speaking events on a range of data management topics. You can join us in person if possible or on one of our live streams. Look out for our virtual happy hours and other networking events.
The purpose of the group is to build a network of data management professionals in Auckland to discuss the latest topics in data management and help people who are entering or are new to data management.

Angela Zhao – Head of Data & AI Governance at Genesis Energy
I spent 20 years progressing from audit to risk to data and AI leadership. I understand how to make data and AI trustworthy in regulated or fast-moving companies. I've built governance frameworks, led engineering teams, managed platforms and stood up AI governance practice. I can talk strategy or be hands-on with Informatica IDMC, Azure Databricks and Claude Code.
