About our speakers
Angela Zhao

• Angela is the Platform owner for Data Governance and Quality at Genesis Energy. Angela has had Data, Technology and Risk roles across banking, Airline and professional services. At Genesis, she is building out data governance as a service using the Informatica IDMC platform.

Priya Mathur

• Priya has extensive experience in assisting businesses realise the value of data as an ever-growing asset. Over her tenure of 20 years in the data industry, Priya has held roles spanning technical and business focus and her true calling has been to make data more valuable for business. In her current role as GM Data Transformation, Strategy and Value Delivery at Health NZ, her main focus is to drive organisational success through data and delivery excellence enabling high quality data services. Prior to this, she was at Woolworths NZ in the role of Chapter Lead for Data Excellence. Born in India, Priya migrated to New Zealand with her family in 2005. She holds a master’s degree in computer applications and recently completed an Executive MBA with Massey University. In her spare time Priya likes to spend time with her sons, parents, and extended family. Priya is a keen lover of fitness, music and dancing and enjoys learning about culture and food

Peter Benson

• Peter Benson is an industry veteran with over 30 years of IT and Information Security experience, and has been in multiple senior roles covering information security, digital employee experience, data protection frameworks, privacy management and AI Governance. Peter has an interest in cyber-psychology, cyber sociology and related fields, has been published in a range of media related to information warfare and information security related topics, and has lectured in cyber security. Peter has run a number of start ups, the most notable being Security-Assessment.com, which was sold to Dimension Data (NTT) in 2007. Peter is also AI Governance Professional certified. In his spare time Peter has an interest in high tech (CAD / CAM) engineering, building custom race car parts and custom motorcycles.
