From Game Ideas to Reality: Vibe Coding & Unity Live

Welcome to the second session of Auckland Game Developers & Playtesters! 🎮
We’ll begin with a short recap of our first session, especially for new members joining us for the first time. We’ll introduce the Meetup, revisit our community roadmap, and briefly discuss what we covered and the ideas shared during our first gathering.
Then we’ll move further into game development, platforms, tools, and AI-assisted vibe coding.
We’ll have a quick chat about what’s new in games and game development, followed by a walkthrough of some of the platforms and tools that can help turn a game idea into a working game.
I’ll also give a live demonstration of vibe coding for game development, showing how AI-assisted development can help us move from an idea towards a playable game. We’ll look at some Unity examples and discuss how Unity and other tools fit into the game-development workflow.
Most importantly, this won’t be just a presentation. Bring your game ideas, questions, and experiences. We’ll leave plenty of time for discussion, exchanging ideas, and networking.
