Greetings Everyone - Join us this Sunday for an adventure on the north shore of Raglan Harbour.

Starting from the Raglan wharf we will cross the harbour by ferry and then make our way across farmland to the coast. After an explore we will return along the beach/coastline to be picked up by the ferry and return to Raglan Wharf.

Numbers will be limited: If you do not pay the $22 you will be moved to "Not Going". This will allow others to join this adventure. Payment to Auckland Global Trekkers: 12-3430-0791504-00 - Many Thanks

Duration: About 3-4 hours hike including stops.
Distance: Approx 12-15 km.
Difficulty: 2.5 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.
What the scale means

Cost: $35 for Car Pooling People
$22 - For Ferry Ride.
Toilets: At the Wharf or the Village Cafe.
High Tide: 07:09

Post-Hike Gathering (Optional): After our adventure, you're welcome to join us for some well-deserved relaxation and camaraderie at The Harbour View Hotel Raglan.

Important Notes:
Arriving late at the wharf will probably mean you will miss the ferry.
Health and Safety form must be signed before getting on the ferry.

No refunds will be issued if you change your mind. You may use the "Comments" section to sell your ticket.

Each person who participates accepts responsibility for making their own determinations and for their own safety, conduct and well being; recognising that there are hazards in attending group and outdoor activities and agrees to participate solely at their own risk.

Preparation is the key to having a good day:

  • Check the weather
  • Do you have the correct clothing and shoes?.
  • Bring Food for your Lunch.
  • Do you know where the meeting places are?

  • New World Victoria Park - Scotland Street
  • The Village Cafe Whatawhata
  • The Raglan Wharf - Wallis Street
  • Harbour View Hotel (Optional)

Carpooling:

  • Carpooling will be arranged for everyone meeting at New World.
  • Just ANSWER the RSVP question.

Time Guidelines:
07:15 - Good time to arrive at New World
07:30 - Car pooling organised and leave
09:00 - Everyone arrive at The Village Cafe - Whatawhata
09:30 - Leave The Village Cafe
10:00 - All arrive at The Raglan Wharf for getting on the ferry

10:30 - Introductions and start the walk
12:30 - Lunch at Te Kaha Point
15:30 - Ready for ferry back to Raglan

16:00 - Arrive Raglan Harbour View Hotell - (Optional)
17:00 - Leave Raglan
19:00 - Arrive CBD.

  • Safety and togetherness are our priorities. We will make stops at all track junctions to ensure the group stays together.
  • Punctuality is key, and we will depart on time, so please be prompt.
