Earlier this month, we explored Ang Lee’s Eat Drink Man Woman, a film that beautifully reflects his deep understanding of Chinese culture. Now, with Life of Pi, we celebrate Lee’s extraordinary ability to craft stories that transcend cultures, blending artistic vision with universal themes to captivate audiences around the globe.

To be(lieve) or not to be(lieve)? That is the question—and an evening with Life of Pi might just offer you an answer.

Life of Pi transforms an impossible tale of human survival into an intimate connection with the wise and brilliant animals that share our world—and not least, a ferocious Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. With its striking and mystical visuals, the film invites you to join Pi Patel’s spiritual journey as he navigates loss, friendship, and hope on the open sea of life.

A marvel of storytelling and technical artistry, Life of Pi delivers unforgettable scenes and thought-provoking questions that linger long after the credits roll.
