AI-driven reverse engineering
Details
Kia ora, everyone,
We will be hosting an online session with a practical overview on how to apply different AI techniques that can aid the process of reverse engineering, and specifically: of an existing Java codebase.
Nowadays when we talk about AI from a developer's perspective we think of different tools that allow us to boost productivity. Especially tools that allow us to craft prompt engineering in order to generate code using AI (aka "vibe coding") such as Github Copilot or Claude Code. In many cases though we first need to understand how a project is architected, what libraries it uses and how we can quickly start in general. Often this makes us ask about relevant project documentation that in many cases simply does not exist.
In this session we will reveal how AI can help us analyse better code repositories allowing us to speed up the process of reverse engineering an unknown codebase.
