Auckland Merpod and Public Mermaid Tryout- Swimming Meetup

This is a mermaid tryout session and you are invited to join me for free at the excellent Point Erin Pool.

It's a large pool with excellent Mermaid like conditions including a shallow beach type entrance. Now it's YOUR time to express your inner mermaid with some like-minded people.

There’s an $8 entrance fee to the pool. Pay at desk on arrival. Under 16 is free entrance.

What we'll do:

1. You’ll get a chance to dress in a mermaid tail and use a monofin- which is essentially a flipper into which both of your feet go at the same time. This means that you won’t be able to use your legs independently of each other.
2. You’ll then have a chance to learn how to hold your breath safely and to swim underwater and Dolphin kick smoothly, like a mermaid.

If you take to it quickly, I’ll be able to show you a few easy tricks too. I am a certified PADI Mermaid instructor with a perfect safety record. As it’s important to me that I only have a few potential Mermaids in the pool with me at one time I would prefer if you could message me to confirm what time you would like to attend. I think you’ll need about half an hour with me but if they aren’t a lot of attendance, we are welcome to spend more time in the pool trying out Mermaid.

You’ll easily be able to find me as you just need to look for the people dressed as Mermaids , alternatively I’ll have a making Mermaids sign near where we’re working. I look forward to meeting you.
