Welcome to the Auckland Public Speaking Meetup!
(An off-shoot of the popular Wellington Public Speaking group)
We often avoid the things that lead to the greatest growth because they feel uncomfortable. But when it comes to public speaking, the only real path to improvement is through practice, and here is the perfect place to start.
This group is all about personal growth, self-expression, and supporting each other to become confident, authentic speakers, no matter your experience level.
We focus on building confidence, embracing self-improvement, and getting comfortable with speaking in front of others. There are no expectations — just encouragement and genuine connection in a kind and supportive space.
Everyone gets a chance to speak at every event. You might be wanting to improve your fluency in English 🇬🇧, overcoming stage fright 🎙, or simply looking to challenge yourself — irrespective of your speaking experience and goals - everyone is totally welcome here.
We believe that communication skills are essential, and opportunities for improvement should be available to everyone, which is why there are no memberships or costs involved, although we encourage participants to support our venue by purchasing a drink at the bar. 🍹
