Collecting and Analysing Tweets in R

Hooray, the first R Meetup in 2020! This year we want to get back to a more regular stream of R meetups! We kick off the year with Owen Flanagan presenting his side project on Twitter data. Owen is a data scientist at Mott McDonald and likes working with R and the cloud to build interesting things.

Abstract:

A basic design pattern for collecting, processing and presenting large amounts of data using R and AWS. The talk covers an end-to-end solution of collecting, storing, enriching and summarising tweets on a schedule using Docker, a relational database and Shiny.
