R Shiny dashboards in production - stories from the battlefield

We have a new R Meetup session in the pipeline! After a long break and two lockdowns, I am happy to announce Uli Muellner's talk about Shiny applications in productions. Abstract

The talk will dive into what it takes to make your R Shiny dashboards ready for production - from stakeholder engagement and design considerations to data pipelines, hosting and performance tuning. We’ll showcase some of the R Shiny projects we’ve recently been working on and how we addressed some of the challenges. Examples include the NZ COVID-19 health intelligence dashboards, the AIS Explorer which supports management of the risk of aquatic invasive species, and Epidemix, a freely accessible app to make complex models easier to understand.
