Auckland Stoics usually meets indoors, but we tried something new by meeting outside - and it worked so well that we’re doing it again!

This is a crossover with Walk & Talk, a simple format: a calm, open-invite walk where the aim is genuine conversation rather than small talk. No speeches, no pressure, and no expectation to “perform” Stoicism. Just a steady pace, fresh air, and thoughtful discussion in good company.

Theme for the walk: Focusing on What We Can Control

We will keep it practical and grounded: how Stoic ideas translate into ordinary situations, including work stress, relationships, uncertainty, and self-discipline. You are welcome to share examples, ask questions, or simply listen.

The route is flat and easy, so energy goes into the conversation, not the terrain.

Bring: hat, water bottle, comfortable shoes, and one question you would like to think through.

Considering current fuel prices, this event takes place in a highly accessible location. We will meet at Te Komititanga Square near the entrance to Waitematā Britomart train station.

📅 Date & Time: Saturday, April 11, 1 pm
