Raglan Surf and Camp Weekend!

Hey team!!
So summer is fast leaving us and soon it will be winter. This brings good and bad things, the gets a bit cold for some of us to surf, but the snowboarding begins!!
So we are going to make a last ditch effort to get a couple more trips in before winter really sets in.
The first trip is to Raglan over the Easter long weekend! Sure I don't need to tell you much about the town, as it is legendary as a surf spot, and really great culture in town. So come along for a weekend of camping and surfing. If you haven't surfed before there are plenty of places you can rent a board and give it a go. Our crew is really supportive and believe in the idea that you don't need to be the best, you just need to have fun!! Of course if you don't want to surf, that's no problem either, come and enjoy the camping, town vibe, or bring your camera for some great photography.
THE PLAN
We will head down on Easter Friday and setup at Raglan Holiday Park (great little park and walking distance into town). Our ETA will be around 10:30am. Once we have checked in we will probably head down to the beach for a surf, and then come back to camp. We will have our flag up and we have discussed with the camp ground managers, so as you arrive you can set up camp and then do what you want (maybe come down and join us at the beach). We will pack up on the Monday morning and depending how we feel, maybe head for another surf, or just get on the road for a cruisy drive home. In between these to points it is up to you!! Saturday and Sunday if weather is good, we will set up a gazebo on the beach and maybe bring down a BBQ and chilly bin to enjoy the day!!!
RSVP ACCOMODATION
For this event, we ask people to RSVP and then we will contact you to deposit the camp fee into our account. We have done it this way this time, to ensure the event runs a little smoother. Please note that RSVP closes the Sunday the weekend prior and is limited to 20 spaces, so book in early!!!!
The cost for camping is $25 per person, please also confirm if you are coming with people you want to camp with. If you don't have a tent but would like to come, please also leave a comment early and we may be able to organise something.
TRANSPORT
This is a self drive event, however we encourage carpooling and we can organise it in the comments if anyone needs or wants to do this. Please remember though, if someone is happy to invite you in their car, make a donation to help with the fuel costs (because fuel..... ouch!)
FOOD
This is a bring your own food and drink event. Raglan does have a supermarket so you can buy each day if you want. There is also great camp kitchen onsite and in the past we have ended up all chipping in for meals and cooking together. This is a fun way to socialise in the evenings!
SURFING AND BEACH
As for the activities, we always have a bucket with things like frisbees, ball, and shovel for on the beach. For the surfing you will need to bring your own board or you can hire one from in town. Don't forget your wetsuit too! It is starting to get cold!
One of the most important things to remember, we are not a surf school and are not be responsible for your health and safety. Of course we are all friends and won't ignore you, but we are not a company offering a tour, simply of group of friends that like to go on adventures. Your health and safety is your responsibility.
