Annual Whangamata surf and camp trip!!!

Details

Well this is the 4th year we have run this event and it has become one of our favorite's! Whangamata is our favourite place in NZ, a little slice of heaven. We call it a surf and camp weekend, but everyone is welcome! So if you are learning to surf, want to relax on the beach, swim or fish, we encourage you to come along and enjoy the weekend with us. This year, we have decided to plan it over the Waitangi holiday, which means you might need to put in for the Monday off work, but this way it will give us 2 full days on the ground. Of course you can come for the days that suit you, but due to limited spots preference will be given to those coming for the whole weekend!!
Date & Time
From the 3-6th February, we will leave on Friday morning to try get as much of the day as possible in Whangamata. Then come back on the 6th
Location
Whangamata on the Coromandel peninsula
What to Bring
Well this list can be big!! But put simply, bring your camping gear, surf gear, or what ever other gear you need to enjoy a beach weekend!!
Accommodation
I have booked 3 camp sites and trying to get them altogether. Please bring yourself a small 2 man tent, smaller tents mean we will be able to fit more on the sites. Also we will car pool to avoid filling the sites up with cars too! If you do book on, I will need you to deposit money into my account for the camping, but we will discuss this later and once I get confirmation of price from the camp ground. We will try to get powered sites, but keep in mind there will be limited power so TVs and Playstations will not be welcomed! Haha
Transport
We will need to drive down, so some people in the team will need to have cars. We encourage car pooling for lots of reasons, good conversation on the way, reduce the number of cars on the sites, and of course it is better for the environment!!
Food
Food can always be harder on these trips due to diet needs etc. We encourage to do simple BBQ cook ups etc, but please note, you will have to pay for your own food or share of the food
Cost
I am still waiting to confirm, but normally you are looking at $30-40 per night
RSVP
You will need to RSVP as soon as you know you would like to come. I have currently got it capped at 9 people but we might be able to increase. However, don't wait and book on asap!!!
If weather means we need to cancel, we will need to make this decision just prior to the trip.

*Note*
The MeetUp messaging service does not work very well at all! We have had a few people turn up to events and not be able to find us, they send a message and sometimes it is not received for days later. If you need to get hold of us, please email us at [hello@earth2oceanadventures.com](http://mailto:hello@earth2oceanadventures.com/) or join our Facebook group (make sure it is the group and not the page)
*Disclaimer*
We are not a tour company business. We organize trips on your behalf because we are passionate about sharing our passion for the outdoors. Think of us more like a group of friends, with one friend that likes to organize everything! This means we are not responsible for your health and safety or any expenses you occur during the trip. We encourage people to organize their own insurances and promote safe use of all outdoor environments.
