About us
Common Ground Market hosts regular community kōrero (gatherings) for BIPOC individuals to connect, share experiences, and support one another. These are spaces to discuss your lived experiences, explore your cultural identity, ask questions, and be in community with others who understand. We facilitate these sessions to centre our perspectives and decolonise our thinking, while remaining open to learning from each other.
These are drop-in gatherings where you never have to explain yourself or shrink who you are. We believe in the power of coming together across our different backgrounds, languages, and traditions.
Who can come?
BIPOC community members, the spaces are created for you in mind.
Non-BIPOC allies are welcome to listen with an open heart and mind, but please understand this is our table and we are graciously sharing the space with you.
Because many of our cultures always come together with some kai, light refreshments will be provided 😊
Nau mai, haere mai 💙
