February 2026 AR/VR Meetup: Vibe Coding for VR

Learn how to using AI to create a full VR experience with no coding required.

Dr Roy Davies will talk about his experience in using AI and Vibe Coding to create an immersive VR expeirence from scratch with no programming experience. This will be a great opportunity to learn how anyone can build a VR experience regardless of technical background.

Come and hear about his experience and ask him questions. Run around in VR and have a look at the world he developed at https://reality2-roycdavies.github.io/vr-forest/. If you have a headset at home, open in the headset browser to have an immersive experience.

If there is time we will also talk about how other AI tools can be used for 3D content creation and even making entire 3D scenes.

As usual, this will be held at the Auckland Bioengineering Institite Building (70 Symonds St) at the University of Auckland.

We will have pizza and drinks.. Pizza will arrive by 6:45pm, so arrive early.
