July 2026 AR/VR Meetup: Introducting Galaxy XR

Come to the latest AR/VR meetup at 6:45pm, July 22nd and learn about the new Samsung Galaxy XR display,

Last year Google and Samsung collaborated together to produce the Galxay XR diplay, the first Mixed Reality display runnign the Android XR operating system.

With similar specifications at the Apple VisionPro, but at half the cost, the Galaxy XR display also has deep integration with the Google Gemini AI agent, providing an AI enhancing experience.

Currently only available for sale in the USA and South Korea, Huidong Bai has brought his Galaxy XR display to NZ, and will give a presentation about its capabilies, and how to develop for it. There will also be time for a hands-on demonstration with the technology.

This will be a great way to be one of the first people in NZ to have a hands-on experience with the Galaxy XR display.

As usual, this will be held at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute Building (70 Symonds St) at the University of Auckland.

We will have pizza and drinks.. Pizza will arrive by 6:45pm, so arrive early.
