What we’re about
The Augusta Adventure and Activites Group is Augusta's largest and most active social activities group.
We are interested in anything and everything and try to arrange a wide variety of activities. There's something here for everyone.
Our members come from every background imaginable and are some of the nicest, most friendly people you will find in the CSRA. We love to meet new people and welcome them into our group of friends.
Our group will only thrive and grow with participation, so we are always open to your thoughts and ideas. If you have an idea for an activity, just contact one of the organizers and we will work with you to make it happen. Once you have attended a few Meetups, we would be more than happy to help you host an event. Our group is as active and successful as it is because of its members. We're always looking for people to join our team of organizers. If you decide that you want to be an organizer, just let one of us know.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Sincerely,
The AAAG Organizers

Bring a chair or blanket and arrive early. There are many food vendors, but expect to stand in long lines if you do not arrive early. If you are light sensitive bring sunglasses, the glasses also help protect from the fireworks debris. If you have sensitive hearing, bring earplugs. If you have PTSD and are triggered by bright flashes of light or loud booms, you may want to skip this event. NO PETS, NO TENTS, NO CANOPIES and NO LARGE COOLERS. Soft carry totes are allowed.
We generally sit near the fence on the same side as the VIP area, which is to the right of the stage. Look for Meetup shirts and yellow bandanas along the fence line. There is a picture in the photo section that has an arrow pointing to where we generally sit. It is the INTENSE SEATING area on the map.
The band will again be performing for an hour after the fireworks. Stay to avoid the traffic, dance, and celebrate Nakita. BTW, it’s Nakita’s birthday, so we let her think that this celebration is all for her. ;) See you there!
