About us
Some questions follow you through everything you make. You find them in a song, a company, a classroom, or the way people care for a neighborhood. Here, you can bring them to people whose lives have led them somewhere very different from yours.
Ausna gathers artists, founders, researchers, musicians, teachers, activists and practitioners across fields who care about what humanity can become—and are already putting something of themselves into it. People who think deeply, make things, and still see possibilities worth working toward.
We come to know one another through the work itself. Bring a project, an experience, a conviction, or a question you have yet to find words for. Someone else's way of seeing may change what you make of it. A conversation can become an essay, a field study, a collaboration, or a piece in a publication signed by the people who made it.
This season in Buenos Aires, our question is:
How can we rebuild a society for human creativity?
We begin with small Wednesday tables: people from different fields, one question, mate on the table. You bring something from your work or life that touches it; we think it through together. Half-formed is welcome.
From Nov 21 to Dec 19, a month of co-creation brings together world-building research, field studies and people's own projects in a living publication, ending with an issue publication and expo. You can start with one evening and see what you want to carry further.
THE SPACE WE MAKE TOGETHER
Our conversations use the same agreements as Ausna's World Rebuilding Club:
• Complete frankness. Say what you actually think, including where you disagree.
• Let disagreement stay with the ideas. Hear a challenge without turning it into a personal offense; challenge someone's thought while making room for the person.
• Sincerity toward the complexity of humanity and the world. Give difficult questions the attention they need. Stay curious about what a neat explanation leaves out.
• The right to represent yourself. Each person gets to say what they mean, clarify their position, and speak from their own experience.
• Keep people present in the conversation. Bring the people, experiences and consequences behind an idea into view—including the people in the room.
• Unfinished thoughts are welcome. Pause to think, write or look something up. Nobody needs to be right. Imagine boldly and make sincere guesses about what we do not yet know.
JOINING US
Our BA gatherings take place in person, in English, with a focus on people who live here. Come on your own; bring the thing you care about. Each table is written up, and your part is shared only after you have seen it and agreed.

A table for human creativity — Ausna Buenos Aires
Hobby - Café de Especialidad, Malabia 1343, Buenos Aires, ARHow can we rebuild a society for human creativity?
Who is at the table
A small table of people who live in Buenos Aires: artists, musicians, founders, curators, teachers, researchers, people building AI, and people whose work brings them to this question from somewhere else.
Life has long been organized around producing enough. The work that makes a person who they are is often the work they make time for on nights and weekends.
What to bring
Bring one thing from your own work or life that touches the question: something only you could have made, something you keep making time for, or something someone loved for a reason you didn’t expect. Half-formed is welcome.
How the evening goes- A round of names and what you make.
- Two or three people bring their thing and the table talks it through.
- One line each at the end.
Two hours, mate on the table, in English.
Conversation rules
These are the agreements we ask everyone at the table to follow, adapted from Ausna’s World Rebuilding Club:- Complete frankness. Say what you actually think, including where you disagree.
- Keep disagreement with the ideas. Hear a challenge without turning it into a personal offense; challenge someone’s thought while making room for the person.
- Sincerity toward complexity. Give the complexity of humanity and the world the attention it needs. Stay curious about what a neat explanation leaves out.
- The right to represent yourself. Each person gets to say what they mean, clarify their position, and speak from their own experience.
- Keep people present. Bring the people, experiences and consequences behind an idea into view—including the people in the room.
- Unfinished thoughts are welcome. Pause to think, write or look something up. Nobody needs to be right. Imagine boldly and make sincere guesses about what we do not yet know.
What we make together
Each evening is written up. You’ll see your part first, and it goes out only with your yes.
The table opens into a month of co-creation, Nov 21–Dec 19: research, field studies and projects brought together in a living publication. You are welcome to begin with this evening.
