17.5km Roseville Bridge to Spit Bridge.
I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which I walk, the Gayemagal people of the Eora Nation & pay respect to the Elders past, present & emerging.

🦘About: This is a moderately challenging walk with great views of the Middle Harbour estuarine ecosystem, finishing at the Spit Bridge. A workout with a view.

🦘Route: From Roseville Bridge bus stop we cross over the bridge & start up Flat Rock Track heading to Bantry Bay. We cross Bates Creek to Natural Bridge then climb up to Bluff lookout. Then descend to Bantry Bay Picnic Area before ascending up Timbergetters Track to Seaforth Oval where we stop for a well earned break. After lunch we make our way thru the suburbs of Seaforth & Clontarf to Spit Bridge.
We should arrive at the Spit Bridge around 1pm.

🦘Distance: 17.5km

🦘Type of walk: Mostly bushwalking with some local street footpaths.

🦘Difficulty: Hard. There are rocky & hilly sections. Total elevation gain 516m. A good level of fitness is required. If you have doubts about your fitness, please do not attend.

🦘Walking Pace: We will maintain a steady pace and average 4-4.5 km per hour.

🦘Meeting Place & Time: Roseville Scout Group, Warringah Rd, Roseville Chase at 8:30am.

🦘Public Transport:
Depart - 8.04am Wynyard Station, Clarence St, Stand S.
Arrive- 8.23am Roseville Scout Group, Warringah Rd, Roseville Chase.

At the finish there are frequent buses to the CBD & Chatswood.

🦘Drive: There is free street parking in Babbage Rd, then walk across the Malga Avenue bridge to join us at the bus stop start. This event is a loop walk, so your car will be there at the finish.

🦘What to bring:

• Trailwalker shoes with good grip
• 2 litres of water, optional hydralytes
• Carbohydrate snacks and lunch
• Light rain jacket depending on conditions
• Sunscreen and a cap or hat with a wide brim
• Eagerness to explore
