Broughton Island Day Cruise

On this Aussie Explorers meetup event we will do a day-cruise from Nelson Bay to Broughton Island, a "hidden gem" just off the Myall Coast.

The plan is to arrive at d'Albora Marina Nelson Bay at 9.30AM to be ready for boarding the Moonshadow vessel "Spirit of Port" for the 10AM departure. NB It is suggested that you park across the road from Wests in Nelson Bay and then make the 18 minute, 1.3km walk to d"Albora Marina.

The cruise takes 6.5 hours from departure to return to Nelson Bay, this means about four hours exploring the island and its beaches or snorkelling. NB You MUST bring your own snorkelling gear if you are intending to go snorkelling. You will receive a picnic lunch and there is a licensed bar on the boat. You will also need about one litre of water, swimmers and towel, comfortable walking shoes, hat and sunscreen as there is limited shade on the island.

For adults the cruise price is $129, I reckon this is good value for a 6.5 hour cruise to an offshore island with lunch included.

You will need to book yourself a spot on this cruise via the link, merely signing up as an attendee will NOT get you a spot on the boat.
