Join us to set up for the Special Olympics Track and Field competition!
General Set-Up Volunteers play a vital role in preparing competition venues for Special Olympics events. This role supports a wide variety of sports and playing surfaces, including courts, fields, and indoor or outdoor facilities. We will be unloading trucks, setting up tents, tables, chairs and more. This will help ensure the venue is safe, organized, and ready for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.
Volunteers should be able to bend, kneel, stretch, and lift 10 lb boxes. Bring Drivers License or picture ID to volunteer checkin.
Note that setup is scheduled for the evening before the big event. You MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE at https://portals.specialolympics.org/event-details/?id=633428b9-bbf8-f011-8406-0022480927ba . (You may need to create a volunteer portal account.) If rain is in the forecast the plans may change. Volunteers are also needed for the competition day on the following Saturday.
