FYI
We’re proud to present this soundscape Exhibit. Fish have voices, real audible voices, ones that humans ignore-or just can’t hear. Waterwayward is call for co-existence, project that showcases realistic sounds of undersea life through variety of art forms, inviting us to listen more closely, to connect more deeply,& to imagine a future where both humans & marine life can thrive. This project is result of collaboration between composer & sound artist, Franko, & marine biologist, Souza, whose research revolves around recording of aquatic life using headphones. He listens intently to these sounds to learn about health & functioning of this underwater community & its response to environmental stressors. Beginning as a long-form soundscape, project has evolved to encompass music, visual art pieces, & album inspired by Souza’s recordings.Waterwayward is community based project- bridges science & art for our environment through deep listening, visual art & music.
We encourage you to listen closely & see where journey leads you.
