Artistic tribute to observed evolving grace of female form-from youthful wonder to empowerment wisdom, inspired by Felix’s Black& Latina heritage & mother’s lifelong friendships.Each painting reflects support & strength women create together & also significance of representation, resilience & joy as acts of resistance. Layers of painting on voile & organza fabrics suspended from gallery ceiling & Yupo paper atop walls invite viewers to move among them as if joining the dance.
Felix turns to beauty, movement,& storytelling to reclaim power & natural unity. To her, joy is revolutionary -it heals, unites, & reminds us of our strength. Exhibition celebrates spirit & resilience-reminder that joy endures, & in its rhythm, we rise.(more on website).
