Explores overlooked stories of women lighthouse keepers from America’s early Republic, through 20th c. Using multi-channel video, photographs & drawings, it reflects on labor, gender,& technology. Filmed over five years at lighthouse sites across U.S. -work weaves asynchronous accounts of keepers & their landscapes through ambient sounds, readings from their writings, & interviews with next of kin & Sally Snowman, last auxiliary lighthouse keeper in the U.S.
