Opening reception

Her paintings reflect a mounting culture desire to counter individualism with independence. Her painting style is influenced by tradition of Byzantine art-a system of layering which superimposes progressively lighter colors over underpainting called proplasmos(or chaos). By applying process of “painting the light “ to both mountains & figures, draws connection between our enduring relationship to human & wild nature.
