This exhibition highlights 27 festivals that celebrate agriculture & other industries, nature & natural resources & people’s cultural heritage & collective identity. Texas festivals is broken into 3 sections, each addressing a guiding question: What is a festival? What do festivals celebrate? And How do festivals create community? Also exhibition reflects richness of Texas’ industries, geographies, communities & cultures & explores why communities choose to celebrate what they celebrate.
