About us
The Austin Arts Collective is a group of people that support the visual arts in Austin, Texas.
We include visual artists of any expression: jewelry makers, photographers, painters, welders, graphic artists, ceramicists, sculptors, glass blowers, weavers, print makers, seamstresses, etc.
You are equally welcome if you are an art buyer, enthusiast, publisher, historian, curator, etc.
Come meet with us to informally network and socialize. Pass some cards around. Get to know each other. We primarily post all art openings that we can find so that you have the opportunity to view art and meet the artists. We want people to Think Austin, Think Art.
Be sure to check out our Discussion Forum for valuable resource guides in the arts. And, feel free to send us an email if you are interested in hosting an event.

LAMP
MASS Gallery, 705 Gunter Street,, Austin, TX, US# LAMP
curated by Ariel Wood
Opening Reception: April 18, 6-9pm
On view Saturdays, 12-5pm from April 18th - May 23rdLAMP is a group exhibition rooted in practices of accumulation and adornment. Primarily sculptural, the works span ceramic, papier-mâché, textiles, and found objects—materials that carry the marks of touch, use, and return. The exhibition draws inspiration from the fantastical potential of a bookshelf alcove crowded with knickknacks, and from the push and pull of a warm light bulb: how it reveals the texture of its shade while allowing everything beyond its beam to slip into shadow. LAMP lingers in this tension—between illumination and obscurity, excess and intimacy—asking what it means to look again at what we already have. At its core, LAMP is about making a home. Home here is not fixed, but a space of continual return. Each return brings something new: an object, a gesture, a layer. Through acts of adornment, familiar things are re-seen and re-translated. Function is rendered implicit; materiality, charm, and care emerges energetically.

Mark Flood: Buddy Can You Spare a Meme
Co-Lab Projects Glissman Road, 5419 Glissman Road, Austin, TX, USMarch 21, 2026 - April 25, 2026
From Co-Lab Projects:
"In spring 2026, Co-Lab Projects will mount “Buddy Can You Spare a Meme” a solo exhibition in the Culvert Gallery featuring new work by Houston-based visual provocateur Mark Flood and a performance by San Francisco sound artist Victoria Shen (A.K.A. Evicshen).
Together, Flood and Shen operate on the same adversarial frequency. Both artists weaponize humor and chaos against established systems—he through visual mockery, she through sonic assault. Where Flood asks you to laugh at the art world's absurdities, Shen makes you feel the discomfort of sound pushed past its breaking point. Neither artist offers you comfort or easy answers. They offer you a mirror, amplified and distorted, reflecting back the ridiculous machinery of contemporary culture at volumes impossible to ignore."Performance April 18, 2026 | 9:00 - 10:00 pm
