Join us on Saturday, February 7 for AARC Exhibit Art Day featuring artist talks, guided tours, and demonstrations from AARC exhibiting artists Sandeep Chandran (@visionarytemple80), Sun-Jue Shin (@pushigoogie), and Allen Zewen Yu (@aaaallenyu)!

✨ 11am to 12pm: Ancestral Visions: Artist Talk and Guided Tour with Sandeep Chandran

Sandeep Chandran will lead attendees on a guided tour and artist talk on his ongoing exhibition, Ancestral Visions. "In my talk, I will walk you through the journey of my artwork in Ancestral Visions. The artwork here falls under two categories - Bhagavathi and Ramayana. Both of these have a unique story on how they came together, what inspired me to create them, and the meaning they hold for me."

🌸 1 to 3pm: Nerikomi and the Story of Flowers: Artist Talk and Live-Clay Demonstration

Artists Sun-Jue Shin and Allen Zewen Yu will host a loosely structured artist talk exploring the inspiration and the rich cultural background of their ongoing exhibition, Diaspora Offering. The talk will be followed by a live demonstration of nerikomi pattern-making and the creation process behind the colorful porcelain flowers featured in the exhibition and will conclude with a Q&A session.
