"An art exhibition transforming into a techno rave.
RED ROOM marks Ashley Lazarz’s debut solo exhibition, introducing an entirely new body of work centered around the color red. RED ROOM is a psychological space where desire, grief, power, anger, intimacy, obsession, and transformation coexist.
Through a collection of psychologically charged paintings, photography, and installation elements, the exhibition invites viewers into a world populated by recurring characters, rooms, memories, and mysteries. The women throughout the work reclaim authorship of their own narratives. They reject expectation, challenge convention, embrace contradiction, and exist unapologetically as themselves, occupying a space somewhere between reality and mythology.
The evening begins as a gallery experience, inviting guests to move through the work and environment at their own pace. As the night unfolds, observation gives way to participation. At 10 PM, the gallery transforms into a techno rave, dissolving the boundary between artwork and audience through live sets by Penny Lane and DEA.
