About Chris:

As Founder and Chief Architect, Chris Georgen has helped steered Topl from its inception as an idea to one of Texas's leading blockchain startups. Together with Topl's CEO & CTO, he leads the design of one of the only impact and sustainability focused blockchain in the world and engage with partners and clients across 6 continents. Before starting Topl, Chris obtained degrees in Mathematics, Chemical Physics, and Philosophy from Rice University. During this time at university, he performed research resulting in 3 co-authored papers focused on emergent phenomena in complex systems and developed many of the models that would come to define Topl's blockchain approach.

About Topl:

Topl is a Texas-based, venture-backed company enabling digital and sustainable transformation across value chains and markets. Topl has built its own lightweight, energy-efficient blockchain that aims to revolutionize how businesses prove, market, and monetize sustainable practices.

Through innovations including Layer 2 smart contracts, that enable granular privacy even on a public chain, and novel tokenomics designed to maintain affordable and predictable transaction fees, Topl is constantly improving despite already having launched its first production network. Built to be as user-informed as possible, the company has begun to build out a full-stack suite of libraries, tools, and platforms for its blockchain network in order to remove the traditional barriers of blockchain adoption.
