Fall bonfire

Details
Things should be cool in the Fall. The winds calm, and night temperatures pleasant.
Bonfire inside a stone/earth circle. Firewood fed from nearby pile. Water in hose and buckets standing by. Bring folding chairs, drinks, food to share. Make this a pot luck, as people seem hungry at dinner time. If anyone has a musical instrument they want to play , please bring. Also, a good sound system might be good, if lively conversation allows.
This is planned on a large lot, in an acreage sub-division, that has recently had driveway improvement, though it is still gravel. and extensive land clearance.
It is located about 20 miles from ABIA. Near Hyatt Lost Pines, McKinney Roughs, and Optimum Health Institute.
There is plenty of on site parking.
If you want to make a day of it, you could visit the City of Bastrop, about 10 miles further down highway 71. Please see notice about veterans day.
Bastrop has restaurants, art galleries and music events, as well as a river front walk from Fisherman's park. There is also Bastrop State Park there. McKinney Roughs, run by the LCRA, is closer to the bonfire site, good for hiking.
Well behaved pets welcome. Sleep over possible if you do not wish to drive home. Indoors or out doors. Please bring sleeping pad or cot.
I will edit this from time to time, and answer questions. Suggestions welcome, particularly regarding other possible venues for fires.

However, this meeting will go ahead regardless of burn ban or weather.
If there is a burn ban, or very windy conditions, I will make a small fire in a fully enclosed brazier. If it rains, we can go indoors. I hated to cancel on so many people before, when they had made long standing plans. However, I will update folks on conditions, so people can change their plans themselves if they wish.
If anyone can bring a portable BBQ, please say so in the comments. That would be very helpful, particularly if we have a gathering without a bonfire.
Hope to meet as many as can make it.
