2021 book by Andy Weir follows middle school teacher and former biologist Ryland who's sent on a mission to save humanity from a Sun-killing microbe.

His first book was The Martian which was turned into a movie with Matt Damon eating potatoes. Lots of potatoes. This time, we have Ryan Gosling trying to save humanity.
