Comp Sci whitepaper discussion group. This week we look at prior art to the Byzantine Fault Tolerance problem, Reaching Consensus in the Presence of Faults. The BFT paper is based on this one, and likely a pre-requisite to fully understanding the Byzantine Generals paper.
