Re: [austin-contemporary-fiction-bookclub] Additional Meetings?

Hi, Peter-

One meeting = 1 book
Two meetings = 2 books

I don't know that I can read another book per month since I'm in another book club.

I'll go with the group's decision.

We have almost 250 members now and our monthly meetings are well attended. However, some members have told me that they'd attend more often if we were to select a few more "current bestsellers" than we have of late. Equally, some of our more regular attendees have said that they would like to meet more often than we currently do.

I've been giving this all a bit of thought and have concluded that we could perhaps have two meetings per month with the new one being on the second Wednesday of each month and the current meeting continuing on the last Wednesday.

The new meeting would focus more heavily on the current (or recent) bestseller list.

I'd be grateful for your input on this. Please let me know if you would more likely attend a meeting with a more current focus or if you prefer the existing arrangements. All other comments and suggestions would also be welcome.

If we do expand to two meetings a month, I would try to attend both meetings myself but I would like someone to be kind enough to volunteer to generally run with it.

Thank you
